Ms. Monika Rutland founded rutland & partners (formerly rutland ježek) in 2010.
Ms. Rutland has been providing legal services to clients in the Czech Republic and abroad since 1991 in the U.S. law firm White & Case, especially in the field of commercial law, corporate law, real estate law, construction law, mergers and acquisitions and litigation and arbitration.
During her long years of practice Ms. Rutland headed the White & Case Prague’s Real Estate Practice Group.
Ms. Rutland has more than 25 years experience on the Czech market with the legal and financial aspects of real estate development, financing and operation of all kinds of commercial real estate (shopping malls, office blocks, logistic centers) and the development of residential real estate at all stages of such projects (preparatory phase, including due diligence, construction phase, operational phase and final sale of the project).
Mergers, Acquisitions, Privatization
In her practice Ms. Rutland has also been involved in a number of major acquisitions and sales of influential companies in the Czech Republic. Her clients include international investor groups in the field of retail, the car industry, telecommunications and real estate.
Real Estate Financing
Ms. Rutland’s clients include both Czech and foreign financial institutions, to which Ms. Rutland has provided legal counsel in connection with financing and refinancing of various real estate projects, including legal services for development projects.
Litigation
Monika Rutland has provided legal services to numerous prestigious clients in proceedings before Czech courts and in arbitrations, including those under ICSID and ICC jurisdiction. Her clients are comprised mostly of prominent Czech banks and investment funds.

In 2007, Ms. Rutland was named by the independent publication Chambers Global as one of the leading lawyers in the Czech Republic in the area of real estate and dispute resolution.
